Vertical pumps

VERTICAL

CHEMICAL PUMPS

Made of corrosion-resistant plastic (PP, PVC, PVDF), Savino Barbera vertical centrifugal pumps have no metal parts in direct contact with the pumped liquids. The use of vertical pumps eliminates the need for openings at the bottom of the tank and allows acids to be pumped in complete safety: any spillage is always contained with the tank. Furthermore, their construction without predefined lengths makes them perfect for any depth, while their single-unit, plastic-caoted pump shaft is not afraid of chemical aggression. Vertical chemical pumps are the ideal solution for handling aggressive fluids.

  • Acid-resistant plastic materials: PP, PVC, PVDF.
  • Custom lengths up to 3 metres, depending on the model.
  • PVC support flanges and bases, standard or customised.
  • Nozzles available at no extra cost: hose barb, thread or free flange.
  • Pump shafts without intermediate supports, guided only by bottom sleeves.

AS CHEMICAL PUMPS

AS Series chemical pumps. Without standard lengths, they fit any tank with a maximum depth of 3 metres. Equipped only with a pair of bushings flushed by the pumping liquid. Maximum flow rate: 90 m³/h. Maximum head: 55 m w.c.

GP CHEMICAL PUMPS

GP Series chemical pumps. Made from solid blocks of polypropylene. Vertical chemical pumps ideal for heavy duty and continuous operation. Maximum length: 3000 mm. Maximum flow rate: 200 m³/h. Maximum head: 42 m w.c.

BS CHEMICAL PUMPS

BS Series chemical pumps. Cantilever pumps without sliding parts. For abrasive corrosive liquids or those with a tendency to scale. Built in fixed lengths: 400, 550, 700, 90 mm. Maximum flow rate: 55 m³/h. Maximum head: 30 m w.c.

ANTI-CORROSION PLASTIC MATERIALS

PP (POLYPROPYLENE)

Very versatile thermoplastic polymer, ideal for making antacid centrifugal pumps. It has good resistance to most alkaline and acid solutions and can be used, depending on the concentration of aggressive liquids, up to 80°C.

PVC (POLYVINYL CHLORIDE)

Plastic material with excellent resistance to acids, bases, saline solutions and organic compounds: usually PVC is used for pumping sodium hypochlorite (NaClO). At low temperatures, it becomes brittle. Operating temperature between 40 and 60°c.

PVDF (POLYVINYLENFLOURIDE)

Fluorinated thermoplastic with exceptional resistance to corrosion and temperature. PVDF is ideal for highly concentrated acids while it is not suitable for some inorganic bases such as caustic soda (sodium hydroxide). Operating temperature: 100°c max.
